Pôle Refit La Rochelle is a Corresponding Member of the French Federation of Nautical Industries.
The French Federation of Nautical Industries aims to defend, represent and promote the skills and know-how of the French nautical sector (including both industry and services), in France and abroad. The Federation supports and provides advice to its Corporate Members in the legal, social, economic and technical domains. With more than 600 members, the French Federation of Nautical Industries represents over 80 % of the national nautical sales turnover.
The Federation is organised in 10 nautical sectors: construction, equipment, sea and river charter, motor engineering, nautical sports, service providers, sales, boat maintenance, and the superyacht industry.
The French superyacht industry is represented by the Superyachtfrance Consortium, involved in the fields of design, construction, equipment, repair, maintenance and management of large yachts over 25 metres.
Through leading promotional and strategic operations, Superyachtfrance aims to create a genuine dynamic based on “made in France” yachting, and so contribute to the international reputation of French skills and know-how.

Pôle Refit La Rochelle is a Partner of the French Organization of captains and crew GEPY.
“Groupement des Equipages Professionnels du Yachting” is a French Professional Yacht Crew Organization. Thus, it embraces French-speaking crew members who hold the STCW 95 certification, regardless of their position on board. Gepy’s membership also includes non-seafaring professionals whose business directly involves yachting crews.
The organization’s key mission is to both develop and run the yachting crew network by promoting mutual understanding and cooperation.
GEPY’s main actions include:
- The representation and defence of the specific characteristics of the yachting crew business, either dealing with national, European and international governing bodies, or during key events such as trade fairs and conventions.
- The participation in workshops and commissions of these governing bodies.
- The promotion of the skills of French yachting crew trained under yacht training schemes and/or the French Merchant Navy.
- The organisation of thematic events (informative events, workshops, banquets, etc.).

Pôle Refit La Rochelle is a Corporate Member of PYA.
The non-profit Professional Yachting Association was created in 1991 in order to represent professional seamen. PYA’s membership includes crew members from more than 45 countries and sailing worldwide.
PYA has a key commitment to provide its members with relevant advice and services in the areas of training, certification or any topics related to legal and regulation.
PYA adheres to ISO 9001-2008 Quality Management. It has become a partner of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA), which enables PYA to be the only Professional Body in the world that MCA allows to inspect yachts for sea service.
Thanks to its privileged relationships with several national organizations, PYA also organises training sessions and events uniting the whole network.
